Matt Hohensee from the Norfolk Police Division K-9 Unit will present a demonstration on the use of his Belgian Malinois, Max, along with Officer Mike Strong and his dog, Reno. The two officers are trained by the Nebraska State Patrol and Internationally Certified K-9 handlers. Officer Hohensee will demonstrate how their dogs are used to search for drugs and apprehend suspects involved in crimes. The Officers will educate the public on the amount of training and time it takes to prepare to be a handler and a service dog. The dogs are bred in Germany and purchased through a vendor in Arizona.
The Officers will present a program, demonstration and then answer any questions the public may have regarding this invaluable service for public safety in the Little Theatre.
